    Dyson Airblades for SchoolsCrayon

The fastest, most hygenic hand dryer availble for your school.

Who are we icon?

The Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer can help a school reduce its carbon footprint and cut down on waste from paper towels.

Reduce your school's carbon footprint

Paper towels create waste. They constantly need disposing of and re-stocking, and they rely on natural resources. Most don’t get recycled, so they end up in landfill where they take years to decompose, or have to be incinerated. Each dry with paper towels accounts for up to 12.5g of CO2.*

And better still, the new AB03 model, made from PC-ABS, produces over 50% less CO2 emissions during production than the aluminium equivalent.

By changing to the Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer a school can make immediate savings and significantly reduce its carbon footprint.

Reduce your school's carbon footprint

Save on your school's energy costs

Warm air hand dryers are too slow. Some take as long as 43 seconds to dry hands, consuming electricity all the while. There’s an energy-hungry heating element to power too. They’re expensive to run and not very power-efficient.

The Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer works in just 10 seconds and uses unheated air to dry hands. Intelligent infra-red sensors mean it starts and stops automatically. And the Dyson digital motor consumes only 1,600W of power when drying hands – significantly less than the conventional motors in warm air hand dryers.

Save on your school's energy costs

As a result, the Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer uses up to 80% less electricity than warm air hand dryers.

* Based on 2 towels per dry (data from Dyson internal research – Sept 2008). Calculations do not include standby power. Cost based on 0.1 pence per paper towel (data from Dyson internal research – Jan 2010) and £0.1194 per kWh (data from Eurostat 2009 Semester 2 – published March 2010). Paper towel dispenser and hand dryer purchase costs are excluded from comparison.

* Paper Towels data from Madsen 2007 report – Life Cycle Assessment of Tissue Products, Prepared for Kimberly Clark, Environmental Resources Management: 39,000 dries per year, 1.5 towels per dry. Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer data based on same number of dries used in the Madsen report, 10 second dry time, 5 years use. Also includes standby power consumption and emissions generated by manufacture, transport and disposal. 10 second dry time based on NSF protocol P335.
