Dyson Airblade – The fastest hand dryer for schools and universities
January 11, 2012
We’ve recently partnered with Dyson and can now proudly offer the Dyson Airblade to schools and universities as part of our rental portfolio.
The Dyson Airblade is another revolutionary piece of equipment designed by James Dyson, following years of frustration with using traditional warm air hand dryers “You put your hands under other dryers, rub them a bit, then give up and wipe your hands on your trousers. It’s something that’s always annoyed me.” So in response, James created a dryer that revolutionised the whole hand drying experience and in true Dyson style, boasted a whole range of additional enhancements over traditional drying methods.
The Dyson Airblade is quickly becoming one of the most popular hand dryers within schools and universities for a number of reasons:
Dries hands in 10 seconds – Traditional warm air hand dryers can take up to 43 seconds to achieve the same level of dryness, often resulting in the user giving up. The first line of defence against spreading bacteria is washing and drying hands properly. Washing alone isn’t enough. Damp hands can spread up to 1,000 times more bacteria than dry hands.
Very hygienic - The inbuilt HEPA filter captures and eliminates 99.9% of bacteria from the air used to dry hands. It’s the only hand dryer that’s certified hygienic by independent public health specialist NSF International.
Costs less to run – A faster dry time and no energy-hungry heating element means the Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer costs up to 80% less to run than warm air hand dryers and up to 97% less than paper towels.
Lower carbon footprint – The Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer is the only hand dryer to be awarded the Carbon Reduction Label from the Carbon Trust. Dyson is committed to reducing its carbon footprint further by 2012.
